Beautiful Kissimmee

One of the loveliest towns we have houses on our lists for here at Bahia Realty Group is Kissimmee, a city of about sixty-one thousand people in Osceola County.  In fact, Kissimme is the county seat of Osceola County.

Because of its size, Kissimmee has plenty to offer its residents, with plenty of schools, shops and amenities to choose from. Kissimmee boasts over 450 acres of parks and recreation facilities to relax in after work, or to take the kids to, and the employment rate in Kissimmee is pretty good.  It’s a great place to live, work and play.

Sports are a big part of life in Kissimmee, with the Houston Astros conducting their spring training at the Osceola County Stadium, the sporting heart of Kissimmee.  And for those who like to participate rather than just watch, you’re bound to find a program that suits near you, wherever you live in Kissimmee.

And for those who like a spot of fishing, in Kissimmee, there’s some great fish to be caught in nearby Lake Toho.  Recently, in the Sunshine Showdown, someone landed a bass that weighed 8 pounds 13 ounces – and this was caught on television.  This is a great place to try your luck.

And do you know what?  In spite of being such a thriving city with so much to offer its residents, nobody quite knows exactly where the name Kissimmee came from.  There’s at least three theories circulating from the local historians, but nobody’s 100% certain.

Kissimmee, what a great place to invest in Real Estate!
